Consortium plans aggressive event schedule for 2012

CES - 9-13 January - Las Vegas
In line with our strategy to be present at consumer electronics events DRM is making a first appearance at CES. NXP and the DRM Consortium will host a big event in Las Vegas on January 10th, opening day of CES at 1600 (Please see invitation above and participate, if you are going). At CES, NXP will demonstrate the first automotive-ready global multi-standard radio platform for DRM broadcast. A similar event might take place at Auto Fair in New Delhi (7-11 Jan)

BES 11-13 February - New Delhi
Consortium will attend and organise a DRM+ Surround Sound demo in the exhibition hall (Nautel booth). Presentations on behalf of Consortium still to be decided, some invitations received already.

EBU Digital Radio Summit during EBU Radio Week 13-17 Feb, Geneva, Switzerland
DRM Consortium to make short presentation on February 15th during Digital Radio Summit. Technical Committee to be held that week too (14th).

DBS (Digital Broadcasting Symposium) 6-9 March, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
DRM Consortium (strongly supported for this by Continental, Fraunhofer IIS, Riz, Thomson and Transradio) and Harris (also a DRM member) will be Major Sponsors of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2012 (please see above). Speakers and workshop to be organised still.

Radio Asia 12-14 March, Jakarta. Indonesia
Level of participation and support still to be decided.

DRM General Assembly 27-29 March, Winersh, UK
This will be held in the UK, at the European headquarters of Harris Systems (Winersh, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 5TS, UK). Steering Board to be held, at the invitation of Thomson, in Zurich on January 26th will discuss and start preparations for GA. would be pleased to post observations from any readers attending these conferences.
